Christopher has over twenty years of experience in fundraising for UK businesses and entrepreneurs.
He began his career as a corporate financier advising smaller quoted UK companies on stockmarket fundraisings. He worked across most sectors of the stockmarket and advised on both equity and debt fundraising while working at SG Warburg Securities and at Charterhouse Securities
He then moved to private banking at Barclays Bank and ABN Amro (Jersey branch) where he specialised in helping small business owners structure and obtain debt finance. This experience helped convince him that the banks’ risk appetite and processes left ample room in the market for alternative sources of loan finance such as ThinCats.
Christopher has an MA in Law from Oxford University
Michael qualified as a solicitor with Linklaters & Paines and then worked as an investment banker at Hambros Bank and UBS before becoming Finance Director to Lloyd’s members agency Christie Brockbank Shipton and its subsequent parent, CBS Insurance Holdings (a Lloyd’s conversion vehicle). He has also owned and managed an internet based retail business so has personal knowledge of the issues entrepreneurs face in financing their businesses.
Michael studied Law at Trinity College, Cambridge.
